Pretty sure I've done this entire menu, last nights Portabella mushroom melted in the mouth, good size portions, well presented, brilliant coffee/desserts, friendly and helpful staff. Loved the warm rustic decor, can't wait for colder days to see their log fire in full flow. Well sheltered area at the back of the pub with retractable roof on sunny days, heating on the cold, this pub has it all.
During our stay in Ingleton we ate here twice, both times going for the Steak and Ale pie. Great food, friendly staff.
We booked a table for 14 for Sunday lunch and when we arrived we were on 3 different t shaped tables all pushed together near the toilets. We queried this as we thought it was quite strange that we had 3 tables of different shapes, sizes and heights with not a lot of room for moving around and we were told no one else has had a problem with this. The lady working was a little blunt when answering out queries. However the food was very good! Bit of limited menu on a Sunday but reasonably priced and a good roast dinner!
If only we had found this pub sooner. Made to feel very welcome by the friendly and helpful bar staff and were served the best food we ate in Ingleton. A nice appealing menu with a good selection of ales and wines.
Myself,my husband and our 2 friends are staying in Ingleton for 3 nights as part of our touring round Yorkshire holiday. We tried the Masons for our evening meal. Even though it was packed they found us a table about 15 mins later. My friend and I had the chicken gougons and my husband and friends husband had the homemade soup(vegetable) for starters and then we all had steak pie for mains. The food Was delicious, the staff were very friendly. We have booked to go back on our last night.
we called here for a quick lunch on our way to cumbria and got a very pleasant surprise. the menu has a great choice and is great value. the staff are very welcoming and the standard is excellent. we only wanted sandwiches and were amazed at the size and quality, the tuna mayo panini and the fish finger sandwich (home made with real chunks of proper haddock) get a special mention.
