It was the second time for me and my wife to stay in this stunning B&B. The owners were changed (our last stay was in 2013) and the place became more heavenly. Eric and Stephanie have made great efforts to maintain and upgrade the B&B. Our room was very clean and very nice. Everything in the garden, the swimming pool and the environment are absolutely gorgeous. There is a new pantry built for use by guests for preparing picnic and drinks which is perfect. Eric even built a small field for playing the French Boules! Breakfast were lovely with fresh orange juice, fresh fruits, good baguette and hearty homemade jam and dessert by Stephanie. We were very glad to stay in this lovely B&B again and will definitely come back in our future visit to seaside of Provence.

A charming chambre d'hotes at the end of a small road hidden in the rural bandol valley between St Cyr sur mer and the beautiful village la Cadiere. Only 5 minutes away from the vivid Mediterranean beach life you will experience total calmness, and nice views to the garden and hills from different relaxing terraces in front of the bastide.

Our experience
- excellent hosts, a talented young couple who last year started to share their dream in the South of France. Their English is good. We felt very welcome.
- nicely decorated and renovated bastide in every detail, simple luxurious Provence style. Light, clean and charming with the feminine touch of Stephanie. You feel and see they have put so much love into this property.
- complete relaxation in the middle of the rural Bandol area only 5-15 min away from beautiful villages as La Cadiere, Castellet, St Cyr-sur-Mer, Bandol and Sanary.
- parking at their gated property
- nice pool and different terraces in front of the building
- beautiful views on the country side
- delicate French style homemade breakfast, with a stunning patisse (financiers! or crispy thin waffle), fresh fruit and orange juice, coffee/tea, bread butter and confiture
- shared room next to the pool terrace where you can use the refrigerator, have a drink, relax or a chat with other visitors.
- ask for Stephanie's recommendations (!!) for restaurants 5-15 minutes. (La Goguette, simple menu & drinks but very delicate)
- we love hanging-out on sunday terraces in St Cyr-sûr-mer, market in Sanary, route de Crête direction to Cassis, beautiful Marseille + mucem, Calanques by foot, Aix-en-Provence.

Beautiful property, charming and peaceful. The room was really nice. We also enjoyed the swimming and the nice garden. The breakfast was delicious as well.
The hosts are marvelous and made us regret not staying longer.

We spent three nights here (in the room called le Puit) in June and wish we could have stayed longer. It was our first time staying in Saint-Cyr and Bastide de Fontvieille was the perfect home base to explore the Bandol region. Marie-Anne and Gerard are marvelous hosts. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning on the patio outside our room - fresh cherries from the property, bread and fruit jams, juice and coffee were the perfect start to the day. The property itself is gorgeous and very well-kept, with olive and fruit trees and loads of native flowers. The pool was great for an afternoon dip to cool down.

You're a short day trip from several beaches, the ancient fort town of Castellet and many other hill towns, and scores of Bandol's best wineries. Several nearby towns have weekly markets as well. Our hosts were helpful with suggestions of what to see and putting together a day's itinerary as well as getting us a reservation at one of the best restaurants we've eaten at in Provence.

Our only regret is that we only booked three nights. We will certainly be staying longer on our return to Saint-Cyr.

We have visited this place several times. Every time we've stayed there from 7 to 10 days.A peaceful place, with a lovely, accessible garden / outdoor area, pool etc. Also with good views to the vineyards. We stayed in the suite on the second floor. The suite is designed in cozy, Provencale style. This together with - a friendly and knowledgeable host / owner - making it so that it can be recommended.

Bastide is centrally located, close to the sea, walking and small picturesque villages. Car hire is recommended
