Just got back from a 'Sister trip' and all four of us plan to return to this resort. The service was top notch, with a special shout out to Antonio (Banderas, chuckle) and Lino. They took great care of us and always made us laugh. Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with a 'tree house jungle' kind of feel. The food was great and the menu was rotated daily so you always had different choices. Fresh fruit daily, omelette bar, smoothie bar....endless fresh options. Wonderful spot for couples, families and groups of friends. Best vacation ever!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the 800 block. It is central to everything. We had rooms 807 and 809 and they were perfectly central to all amenities.

We had 2 rooms, arrival night 1 room had a broken toilet, the other no ac. They offered to upgrade us, but at 50% increase. After a fight they finally did the right thing. The room w the broken ac as never resolved nor did they offer any compensation. I travel alot hands down the management is by far the worst I've encountered. The island is lovely, the people are great... just beware of this hotel.

We were at the resort from Feb 5-12 2018 and really loved it. We liked the quiet atmosphere and great beaches. We walked away from the town on the sandbar pilgrimage a couple mornings and it was so amazing. Lots of rays, conchs, beautiful shells for collectors and many different colours of starfish. The walk can take 2 hours each way if you go all the way to Punta Mosquito and if you're a beach walker...I recommend you do it. (Mornings only while the tide is low.)

We had all inclusive and my only complaint is that we didn't realize we had access to the rooftop sushi bar until the last night. It's a great place to chill and see the sunset. We walked into town a few times and I walked in at 6:30 a couple of mornings and watched the fishermen coming and going and the town wake up. It was a great vaca for relaxing...may not be for those who like the night-life and "shows" at the bigger resorts. One evening a group of children played music along with their music teacher and it was terrific. Story says he helped them build their own instruments.

We also rode bikes a couple of days...even on the beach!

One piece of advice to everyone considering going to Holbox island, Go Now before it becomes a tourist trap! Its so isolated, untouched nature, gorgeous clear water, quiet and peaceful, any minute now the bloggers are going to take over and it wont be the same. This island is nothing short of remarkable, we walked around the entire island almost and got to see a lot of the other hotels and are certain that we chose the right one by staying at HM Villas Paraiso, its really an extraordinary place to disconnect from technology and unwind. Theres a pool, great restaurant, little bar, water activities, so much to do and so much to enjoy.
