Firstly, the staff were professional and polite and the meals were very tasty and plentiful. The bar area and breakfast area were clean and tidy. The downside was our room. 208. The TV didn’t work on arrival but I remade the antenna cable and it was fine. The mattress on the bed is very worn and needs replacing. The bathroom had three faults. 1) the sink was blocked. This was reported but was still blocked on leaving, when I reported it again. 2) The lighting is not sufficient for a bathroom with no window. Needs a decent vault age bulb. 3) The extractor made the normal noise but clearly did not work. Fortunately the location was reasonable for our stay or we would have moved on. At £96 a night the premiere (I’m afraid to say) was better value for money.
Before the hotel states I didn’t make a complaint so nothing was done. They had already told us they had been closed for ages and working hard to get the hotel right. They also told me they were full for the first time in over 2 years, and I did tell them about the sink but nothing was done.
If they can sort out the bathroom and bed it would have been a “good” from me. As it stands it’s an “passable” but I won’t be staying again.More
