Our short stay there was delightful. The surroundings are more attractive than you might imagine from the frontal picture of the building. Staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. We greatly enjoyed the view from our room and our balcony, facing the fjord. Spotlessly clean. Hearty Norwegian breakfast.

A marvelous hotel. Views of the Fjord phenomenal. Breakfast is wonderful and the family is helpful and welcoming. A quiet town worth a stopover on a nutshell tour or other visit to the region. Worth a return for sure.

As with similar reviews, we were more than impressed by the friendly attentive service and advice provided by the owners and staff. The hotel is short walk from the main town (not that it is big) and is away from the huge Kviknes Hotel with all the bus tour visitors. The hotel has lovely rooms with balconies looking straight down and across the fjord. We were so relaxed during our 2 night stay we could not have been happier. Would have loved to stay longer. Highly recommend.

Wonderful location and views. Great and friendly staff. Very nice and comfortable beds and rooms with a great location (looking directly out on the Fjord). Was the best hotel out of 12 on our trip through Norway.

What a beautiful view from this hotel! I stayed two nights, and was on the third floor with a balcony. Sunny every day. Gorgeous view of the water and mountains in the distance, and a view of the picturesque homes and cottages to the right of the hotel. Just lovely. Breakfast was very good - hard and soft boiled eggs, fruit, cereals, breads, yogurts, etc. There are pretty flowers, bushes, and gardens around the hotel, with pretty white and blue umbrellas. My only regret is that I did not stay 3 nights, maybe even 4! (we did go to the Fjaerland Glacier by ferry one day). Remember to bring toiletries (we did from a hotel in Bergen) because shampoos and conditioners are not provided. For the price we paid, it was a great deal to have such an unbelievably gorgeous view. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Also, it was a relief that Eric drives to the dock to pick up your luggage and drops it off there when you check out.

Room tip: Third or Fourth floor with view of the water
