Had a blast back here. Love the clear, warm water. Definitely a must on a visit. Great staff that bring drinks and food.

I spent a week in Nungwi Beach with my friends and it was exactly what we needed: relaxing, great people, endless beaches, diving, amazing restaurants and the most beautiful sunsets! If you are planning a visit to Zansibar, you should definitely go to Nungwi!

Beautiful beach that stretches from Kendwa to the aquarium in Nungwi...always swimmable somewhere no matter the tide unlike the east coast of Zanzibar. Many resorts toward Kendwa but more local as you go east. Near the turtle rescue/aquarium on the east end you will also find the traditional dhow boat building...fascinating since the hulls are one piece of wood and the rest hand hewn! This is also where you will find most of the locals, kids playing soccer and swimming. Not as many amenities at this end of the beach so bring along a drink.

Love this beach of white sand. I just wish there were less of the sticky local teenagers trying to shake your hand and force-sell whatever they have in hand. Stunning sunrises and sunsets. Would surely visit it again someday!

Stayed here for 2 weeks could not fault it beautiful clear water great for swimming and snorkelling.
Plenty of restaurants and bars along the beach, simply a lovely location.
