We had previously booked rooms at another hostel but when we got to the island ut didn’t feel great. It was tiny, not very clean and without Wi-Fi. We wen’t to a cafe close by to check our phones and that was HABANA LIBRE.

We asked to see the rooms and got shown around and decided then and there that it was perfect. Room was very clean and they cleaned it every day, it had AC, good water pressure in the shower, great WiFi and good coffee. Our room was big with plenty of air and space which felt great after having stayed in really cramped hostels before. The view is amazing as it’s right on the beach so in the evening you can sit on the terrace and watch the sunset or just go down for a quick swim.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the restaurant at the hostel served one of the best meals we’ve eaten during our four weeks in Nica. If you stay there you have to eat their grilled lobster served with a corn quesadilla.

Based on the other hostels we visited I would say it’s the best one in that price range. Would easily have stayed longer and would gladly go back. Can realllllllly recommend it.
