Wow! That's the first word I had in mind as we approached Java Hotel. Me and my family went there on our first night in the north and set the Ilocos' hotel standards for us.

Since we arrived at night, first thing we did was to check the pool and the Resto-bar: Eagles Nest. We all sat on the counter and ordered drinks as musicians played for us. It was perfect except for the mosquitoes feasting on my legs.

Since it has a gasoline station in front (Petron), they do have a 24 hours convenience store which is actually..... convenient. *pun*

Room was spacious with rustic feels and a balcony. Had the basic amenities such as toiletries but no room slippers. Floor is concrete and quite cold for oldies' feet (Parents) at night.

They have free and fast wi-fi which is a must have for millennials. ;)
Food was quite good. They offer well cooked meals and fruits. Not pricey as well.

Verdict: Highly recommendable.

Will I go back? Absolutely!

For travelers finding that IG worthy photo, I think this hotel is for you. The place is quaint and location is a bit weird (in front of the hotel is a gas station) but the service and price is okay. The staff are nice and a lot of tricycle frequents the hotel so you can easily get one to travel to other places in.

Took all of my wife's family and friends there. Outstanding service location and atmosphere. By western standards it's very reasonable for dinner or to stay. Its location is not very favorable I wish it was closer to the coastline or the airport and the gas station wasnt in front of it. Seriously it's a great hotel.

Pros:
Probably one of the best hotel to stay when you are in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Budget friendly hotel with very nice interior and delicious food.

Cons:
It has a small pool and the front of the hotel is a gas station which you can smell some of the gas when you are outside.
