“Revisiting- improved service but still a long way to go”
Review of City Cup Cafe

We visited the cafe about 3 years ago when still new and when the british cook was managing the kitchen & restaurant.

Today while still in the resto, I noticed a few things

The good:
The service is much better, mote friendly, quicker and the knew the menu and able to explain unknown dishes- dishes in selection have improved away from a english style menu
The cappucino looks great if you order the foamy version & see below for further details
Prices are more resonable then 3 years ago.
Good aircon

The not so good things and to lift the cafe to the next level:
The cafe needs a good deep clean, glass tables are not that clean
Many areas require a fresh layer of paint and other touch ups.
The coffee quality still needs futher improvements, very weak taste like "nescafe from the packet)
The chicken slider sandwich is more like a slightly toasted ciabatta bread with lots of coleslaw, hardly any chicken
Internet is slow and whith attachments mails do not go out.

Good luck

As the title implies, it is where malunggay pasta can be found. Been searching for that dish for so long, and good thing it's available at City Cup Cafe...The resto is at the business street area, which means it is easily to locate.

1. No one will greet you when you enter.
2. The food and coffee that i'd like to order is not available.
3. The plate that they gave me still has a bit of water in it.
4. Ambiance was chill.

-Ordered morroccan lamb stew(not sure if i got the name right) and it was okay, nothing special about it.
-Latte was good
-Vanilla fruitcake was good except for the fruits on top of the cake. It was just sad and old especially the peach and grapes :(

The menu was a waste of time, nothing on it was available. No tea available!!!

This place has gone from excellent to worse than bad in a short time.

I'm searching for a dinner alone and opted to try here for the first time than to eat at a fast food chain. It was a typical night with not so many people around, no one welcomes me. I saw the waitress staring at me like "What are you doing here?" rather than a warm welcome to ignite my dinner as I choose.

I ordered the Fish Fillet with some vegetables but they serve it without the lime as I see it on the Menu. Nothing special with the dish, too expensive I guess.
