Nice place to eat authentic ilocano foods. Try the sinanglaw and pinakbet. The place is spacious as well.

The beer was nice cold. It was my husband's first time to taste San Miguel and he liked it the way they serve it nice cold. He was looking for such cold beer while we were in Manila. The pork ribs was great.

Was checked in to the Java hotel for a few days. Breakfast was blah.. but maybe because it came free with the room.

American breakfast was hot chocolate (hot water and 1 sachet of regular Milo), 4 pcs of thin white bread (actually 2 pcs cut in the middle), egg and 3 slices of bacon (never crispy, always oily). Had this for 2 days.

Continental breakfast was oatmeal and fruit plus fruit juice (canned pineapple juise). First day oatmeal was too sweet and there were 2 mango slices. Next day was not so sweet and only 1 mango slice. Not consistent.

Filipino breakfast was very pink tocino, rice and egg.

The mango shake was good - milky, mangoey.

Tried the poque poque and it was good too.

The place is an open air restaurant so there were lots of local birds flying around as well as lots of flies.

Rating this 2 purely bec of my breakfast experience.

Thank Marie D

They served authentic ilocano food. We ordered sinanglaw, baby back ribs (best seller), pinakbet and fried dinuguan. Price were very reasonable. Their complimentary set menu for breakfast was very simple as guest of Java Hotel. Price is very reasonable.

The ambience is good but the food is better. Try their Sinanglaw, Crispy Dinuguan, Grilled Tuna Belly, Pinakbet with Bagnet!
