We ordered Poque Poque Pizza, Dragon Fruit Lumpia, and Dinakdakan. They were delicious and just right. Their chili oil is really spicy and just the perfect add on to the pizza. Recommended for first time visitors. Ambiance is also a plus. Only reason for the 4 stars is price was more on the pricey side than expected. But good nonetheless.

Very nice ambience. I give 5 stars for the food. Ask locals about its location or just use waze. Try Lauya a Baka and Dinakdakan.

One star rating only for this restaurant.

We decided to have a family get away during the Holidays and we decided to head up North. From Pagudpud, we were heading to Vigan but decided to pass by Laoag City to have lunch first.

It is our first time in Laoag and didn't know where to have lunch that day but since all of us are craving for delicious, authentic Ilocano cuisine, we searched Google and this restaurant immediately popped up on the list among other choices. There were a lot of good reviews online so we all agreed to spend lunch in Saramsam.

When we arrived, we immediately told the staff that we need a table for 22 pax. They initially rejected us, but told us that if we are willing to wait, food will be ready in 20-30 minutes. We decided to stay since they assured us that the food will be served in 30mins max.

40-45 minutes of waiting has passed and our tables remain empty. To our disappointment, we decided to confront the manager but she insisted that the food will be served to us in an hour minimum. We told her that this was not properly relayed to us, and that should we had known, we would have left since all of us are already starving. It was past 2:30 in the afternoon.

Food was good. To be fair, they have the best Bagnet I have ever tried, compared to other Ilocos restos we've had during our tour. Ambience was also ok.

Service was super bad though. They should have informed us that the food takes time to serve.

This is highly recommended due to it's good food and Ilocano cuisine authenticity, but you should make reservations and order in advance. Otherwise, you will be disappointed for the long wait. The manager on duty who attended to our concern was rude.

We were there last weekend to attend a wedding so we decided to check out the local dining scene...

We got a little lost because we didn't see the sign and entered the pension house instead... The restaurant is located right beside the pension house and the person who took us to the restaurant turned out to be the owner of both establishments!!!

The ambience is very cozy and homey. We were seated in a really cute and romantic table for two.

The menu consists of Western and classic Ilocano cuisine... Why go to Laoag and eat western food? We ordered the Insarabasab and okoy along with rice...

It was a great meal!!! Both dishes were very savory and the okoy was extra crispy...

We'll return if given another chance to head North again...

Heard a lot about this resto from colleagues who have been in Laoag/Ilocos. Good thing that we decided to stay in the pensionne house which also owns Saramsam. And we did not get disappointed. The place is small but very cozy. We love how the tables were arranged, and provides areas for groups who want to dine privately. Of course it's their food that really make the difference. All tasty, nicely cooked and servings are big. Prices are very reasonable and won't hurt your wallet. Staff are nice too and very accommodating. Saramsam is definitely one of Laoag's gems.
