The house dates from the plantation days and is enveloped in the history of this part of the country. The owner was available for questions during the tour; he is a mine of information.

We called here as part of our Vicksburg tour. The initial orientation video was quite good and then you were free to explore on your own. There is plenty of period furniture and artefacts. It's certainly worth a short visit and as a B + B, staying here must be a very interesting experience.

Stayed in Emma's Room in the Carriage House. Loved the period decor and size of room, plus modern amenities. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Appreciated being asked, by a person I later determined to be general manager and chef, if we had any food allergies when we checked in. The complimentary breakfast was generously portioned and delicious. If we meander back through Vicksburg, there is no question that we'll stay here again.

The owner was present and gracious enough to show his home to strangers during a Christmas river cruise. It is also a great Southern Bed and Breakfast, complete with a swimming pool. This is a wonderful example of true Southern hospitality to showcase their beautiful homes within Vicksburg.

Was with a group that was divided between Anchuca and Duff Green House. But had dinner there and was tasty. Updated interior. Feedback from group was accommodations were small. These old houses have rooms in the mansion but also rooms in another building on grounds. Suspect mansion rooms are much bigger and historically correct.
