Description: Tecolote Cafe was started in 1980 by Bill and Alice Jennison with a desire to feed guests great meals, affordably, with superior service. Mr. Bill and Alice's recipes have been pleasing palettes for 31 years. In May of 2010, sadly, we lost Mr. Bill after a long and accomplished life. Since August 2010, Katherine Adkins (Bill and Alice's daughter) and her husband Matt Adkins have been doing their best to honor Mr. Bill and Ms. Alice's vision in carrying on the family business. Sadly we also lost Ms.Alice in December of 2012. We offer a varied menu focusing primarily on New Mexican breakfast and lunch cuisine, as well as some American favorites. We bake all of our breads in house as well as our muffins and biscuits contained in our bakery basket. A little known secret to our great burgers? Fresh baked Kaiser rolls to vehicle our superb patties and ingredients. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, we are sure you will be pleased with our delectable choices and our warm, friendly atmosphere. If you aren't, just let us know so we can make your experience everything you hoped for!Katie and I can't wait to see you on your next visit. So, come on in, and remember, we serve "Great breakfast, No toast!", just for you.

While not too high on the quality of the coffee......which is really an important part of any breakfast....This place gives a good, voluminous breakfast. Maybe slightly overpriced, but no real gripes, otherwise

We went for breakfast. We were in Santa Fe 17 years ago and remembered Tecolote's great muffin basket. The restaurant has changed physical locations and now has much more room and better parking. The food is still great.

Our first visit to Tecolate Cafe—some years ago—was to a small stand-alone building with great charm. Two years ago, Tecolote moved to a larger location in a strip mall. Upside: more space and parking. Downside: most of the charm and ambience got lost. But the food is still terrific. This stop was lunch. I still opted for breakfast, ordering a frittata loaded with ham, bacon, spinach, onions, and white cheese, and a side of green chile that had zip. The bakery basket was loaded too: corn muffin, biscuit, and blueberry muffin plus strawberry jam on the side. My wife did lunch—frito pie with tortillas for her bread. She said it was “delicious.” Top marks for food but less for location.

We have gone for years to the Cerrillos location. When recently meeting friends they told us it was on St Michaels. Big change. Better parking, bigger restaurant space, same great food and amazing service (I don't say that lightly)

Everyone loved their food ( and the baskets of rolls/muffins including a green chile muffin) I got the corned beef hash w eggs. I opted for Christmas chilis. OMG, The red chili is phenomenal. I bought a pint to go.

We have always had great food at Tecolote. Our server (Diana) was a charm and really tolerated our indecision.

I'm biased but it's my fav breakfast restaurant in Santa Fe.

Moved from old little place on Cerrillos, to a much bigger but less visible location with scads of parking, in the shopping area on the south side of St Michaels Drive, turn in between the Clock Tower and Carl's burgers.

Continues to be a local favorite, featuring more baked goods, but with the same Northern NM style menu. I had the blue corn piñon pancakes (unless you're a big eater, one will do) and eggs with chile. Just plain wonderful food..
