I saw this troupe at the Lodge in Santa Fe. Without reservation I can say that the performance was one of the most moving and dramatic dance events I've ever witnessed. The dancing, as a physical feat alone, was astonishing, in addition to being exciting and dramatic. The passion and history that met in the voices of the vocalists elevated our date night to a level of joy and wonder. GO SEE THEM.

I recently attended a performance of Juan Siddi Flamenco sponsored by the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet in Aspen. The singing that was done by three members of the group was more like yelling and screaming. The dancing was boring except for one group performance by 5 women with fancy dresses and castanets. There were no other male dancers except for the male lead. I would not recommend attending future performances by this company.

We're sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the performance of JSFSF last summer. Flamenco is certainly a distinct style that may not appeal to all, however, I can assure you that both the singing and the dancing were of the utmost quality and true to the flamenco tradition. Hopefully you'll consider joining us again this year for some of our other offerings.

Quite possibly the best flamenco show in the United States. Led by Juan's incredible dancing and amazing choreography, the six dancers explode with energy and passion. The ensemble includes two gypsy vocalists, plus guitarists, a pianist and cellist. All are genuinely gifted and should not be missed. If you ask me, this is as good as The Santa Fe Opera, and it costs less.

This is a wonderful performance held through September at The Lodge, in Santa Fe, NM. This is by far the most lively Flamenco show I've ever seen, thanks to great choreography by Siddi. The floor is filled with multiple dancers accompanied by two vocalists, two guitarists, a celloist, and a pianist (whose CD SHOULD be purchased afterwards!), and a drummer. We had first-timers and seasoned Flamenco viewers in our group and everyone was gushing afterwards. The tix are $25 and the show is in an intimate theater in the hotel. You can order drinks and cocktails. Worth every penny and more. These professionals each have an impressive resume of dance experience!
