Description: Our chefs have painstakingly created a menu of wine-friendly fare consisting of old world hors d'oeuvres and regionally inspired tapas. From baked Texas goat cheese with kalamata olives to fresh chocolate covered strawberries, the menu caters to the diversity of the food enthusiasts. Charles Court, at the rear of Zinc, is a truly serene gathering place for a rare outdoor experience. The private, spacious courtyard makes for a quiet sanctuary from the clatter of downtown city streets and the Riverwalk.

Great bistro food not on Riverwalk!

A little less travelled location for great food and service!

Will not disappointed!

We wanted a slight change from the many On the Riverwalk restaurants---- worth it!

Very menu choices for lunch from pizzas, sandwiches, salads, etc.

We went here for a late dinner on a Saturday night when in San Antonio for the weekend. It was a ~5 min walk from our hotel. We walked on the streets rather than riverwalk as it was faster (although not anywhere near as nice).
We had the spinach artichoke dip appetizer which was very good. We decided to split the NY strip steak with fries. We asked the waiter for medium (pink all the way through) on the steak. He said their medium would be red in the center, so we ordered medium well. The steak came a little overcooked (pink center only), but still was quite tender and tasted great. Their sauce is delicious. Fries are good.
Large wine selection. We had the Brioche Apple bread pudding for dessert which was served with ice cream and was very good.
Would highly recommend if in the area.

Had a very enjoyable solo dinner here on their beautiful and secluded garden patio tucked behind the restaurant. Staff was friendly, prompt and attentive. There is a broad selection of wines by the glass, including dessert wines. The blue crab cakes were absolutely delicious - heavy on crab with a perfectly crisped breading - and served on top of a creamy but light mustard sauce. The accompanying micro greens and pear salad was delicious as well. I will definitely return on my next trip.

If you’re strolling the River Walk, I recommend that you take the few extra steps to come here to eat. You will be happy you did!

Went to Zinc two nights in a row while my wife and I were in San Antonio. The restaurant was only 2 blocks from the Hilton Palacio del Rio, where we stayed. This place is a hidden gem that is not on the Riverwalk. Prices were very reasonable for the selections they had. The first night, my wife had one left of three different kind of pizzas and I had the Zinc Burger. The pizzas are a little bigger than individual size but light for two people. It looked so good I ordered the Italian sausage one the second night.

There is an outdoor patio that was a great touch. The wait staff is very friendly. There is an extensive wine selection, and the availability of beer and mixed drinks.

I would suggest this to anyone who wants a break from the Riverwalk crowd.
