My husband and I just returned from a visit to Estes Park, where we stayed at the Woodlands for 3 nights. We stayed in a 1 BR upper unit, and found it to be absolutely perfect! Advantages were: upper level parking, easy access to carry our luggage in, a great view of Castle Mountain, and Fall River was just a few feet away from our wonderful patio. The unit itself was roomy and very clean, with up-to-date appliances, plenty of water pressure and hot water, soft luxurious towels, and the bed sheets were wonderfully soft to lie down on after a full day of outdoor adventures! The fireplace was a great added touch, and it was so nice to sit in front of the fire and relax each evening. Staff members were very helpful and friendly! We would definitely recommend The Woodlands to all - and will plan to stay there on our next visit to Estes Park!

Room Tip: Personally, I would choose an upper level room because the vaulted ceilings give it such an open feel.

We had a 2 bedroom/ 1 bath suite. It had all the comforts of home with full kitchen and all cooking supplies and gas grill on the patio. Housekeeping came every day with fresh towels and emptied the trash. Wood burning fireplace was a plus. We were in the front unit facing the road. There is a grassy area with a beautiful stream running through it. Patio table and chairs on the patio. Double adirondak chairs in front of the stream to sit and have drinks. Beautiful view of the mountains. If you get a suite in the rear of the property you won't have a view of anything so make sure you get one in the front of the property. The cons - No privacy on your patio. I like to sit outside in the morning and drink coffee but the other renters are coming and going in front of your patio.

Room Tip: For more privacy, choose a second floor suite with a front facing view. I would have preferred the 2nd story balcony.

Woodlandrs, Manager at The Woodlands on Fall River, responded to this reviewResponded 21 October 2015

We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us at The Woodlands, and thank you so much for the wonderful review. I just wanted to make one clarification on your review. All of our suites face the river giving you a patio or deck to enjoy the view of the river and Castle Mountain. Our buildings are 4 plex buildings with suites on the upper and ground level, all facing the river. The upper units are accessed from the back side of the building and the maps that we provide show them sitting behind the ground level which can be confusing. Thanks again for the review and we hope to see you again!

Stayed 5 nights in a 2 BR upper unit. As stated in other reviews, upper units have parking right outside the back doors. The unit was very clean and well appointed with plenty of room. Loved being able to sit out on the deck and listen to the river....view from the deck adds to the whole atmosphere! Location was perfect, only minutes from downtown, but away from the crowds and noise.
I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if ever in the area!

This is my second visit here. Love the location, close to everything, yet still private. Our room was quite comfy and clean, with all the conveniences we needed. Lots of personal touches, and friendly owners. Wifi sluggish but ok. We'll stay here again, I'm sure.
