I ordered a meatball sub and got meatballs that appeared to have more breadcrumbs than meat. I could not even cut through one of the meatballs with a plastic knife. Maybe it was a leftover cannonball from World War I. I also ordered a lemonade from the fountain but the fountain had run out of lemonade. The lady at the counter said she would get someone to fix it but no one ever did. As a result, I never got the drink I paid for. I have had good experiences with this place in the past but it has certainly gone downhill.

The sandwiches are wonderful; I cannot say one bad thing about them. It's the service that I rate poorly. I know they get busy during the week and we have ordered from this deli many times over the last five years because of the convenience and closeness but there is nearly always poor customer service or some difficulty with the order, either they forget your avocado, your Italian dressing, stuff you pay extra for, and when you call and tell them, they are like so...? I mean, its just plain difficult to deal with and Beverly is the manager/owner there and you would think she would attempt to make the customer happy but no--she is the most difficult one of all.
Just today, I placed a large order and I had a $10 off coupon from restaurant.com, that says it never expires, that I have used a handful of times in the past two years since DG's has put themselves on the website, well now, all of a sudden, they do not honor those with delivery, even though it says nothing of that in the rules and they have before numerous times! I know they do not like those coupons because they have groaned to me before when I have told them I have one. Why sell the coupons and garnish the additional business if you abhor honoring them so? Just take your name off the list clearly they despise dealing with coupons.
I think they just like to turn down orders when they are already busy and come up with ridiculous reasons on the fly to do so. Being a customer of five years, this is the conclusion I have come to. I know one thing, I am going to trade all my DG's certs for other restaurants, though the sandwiches are great, I cannot stomach the poor customer service any longer.

My visit for lunch was an absolute wonderful experience,The philly was absolutely perfect and what a flavor and quality,Turns out this is not your normal philly they do this one out of ribeye which makes this in my opinion the best in town for sure.As for value its not over expensive but we'll worth the price for the quality only complaint is that should give pickle with sub.Try this and find out why its been voted best in city.

Come at the "wrong" time and you'll spend quite a bit of time standing in line. This place is justly popular. Sandwiches are big enough to easily be shared but go ahead and get your own if you and you companion can't agree on something. You can always take what you can't eat with you. A possible word of caution: The pasta salad is spicy. That might not bother most New Mexican who seem to expect everything to be drenched with green chile sauce year around whether it makes sense to do so or not.

A bonus here is that they sell various meats and other ingredients by the pound so if you want to feed a family at home cheaper than you can in the deli, just buy what you need and take it home. Or maybe you need some corned beef to make corned beef hash. Buying it here will guarantee that you're getting good quality ingredients.

#1 deli in town?? Perhaps the brown bag special is a better deal but a sub combo with a small side and fountain soda for $11 is outrageous. Who cares that they use Boar's Head meats? Sub roll was either black bread or some funky multigrain. Stale and tasted like sawdust. One bite and into the garbage it went. Macaroni salad had strange dressing and may have contained chiles! Bizarre! Avoid it.
