The sandwiches are wonderful; I cannot say one bad thing about them. It's the service that I rate poorly. I know they get busy during the week and we have ordered from this deli many times over the last five years because of the convenience and closeness but there is nearly always poor customer service or some difficulty with the order, either they forget your avocado, your Italian dressing, stuff you pay extra for, and when you call and tell them, they are like so...? I mean, its just plain difficult to deal with and Beverly is the manager/owner there and you would think she would attempt to make the customer happy but no--she is the most difficult one of all.
Just today, I placed a large order and I had a $10 off coupon from restaurant.com, that says it never expires, that I have used a handful of times in the past two years since DG's has put themselves on the website, well now, all of a sudden, they do not honor those with delivery, even though it says nothing of that in the rules and they have before numerous times! I know they do not like those coupons because they have groaned to me before when I have told them I have one. Why sell the coupons and garnish the additional business if you abhor honoring them so? Just take your name off the list clearly they despise dealing with coupons.
I think they just like to turn down orders when they are already busy and come up with ridiculous reasons on the fly to do so. Being a customer of five years, this is the conclusion I have come to. I know one thing, I am going to trade all my DG's certs for other restaurants, though the sandwiches are great, I cannot stomach the poor customer service any longer.
