I would like to start by saying we have always liked Tucanos, Albuquerque. The combination of diverse food entrees and great service has always been consistent. We dined on Friday, February 24th and had reservations at 530 PM. Our family was celebrating our father in law visiting from Kentucky. We introduced him to Tucanos during his last visit and he wanted to come back. When we arrived, my wife was excited to try the advertised seafood additions to the menu. Friday dinner was a big disappointment; both the meal and overall dinning experience. The meat service was slow, the fish was cold, dry, and overcooked. In our first 35 minutes we were offered pineapple four times, dry and luke warm Swordfish, overcooked Salmon and got last two pieces bacon wrapped turkey off the skewer. Our waitress Alexandria was conscientious and tried to "talk to someone" two times but the meat service did not improve. Finally, when our dissatisfaction was voiced to a manager, we became inundated with meat and food service all i a 5 minute period. This provided a pile of meat entrees on our plates which quickly got cold and which was not enjoyable. This ruined our Tucanos experience and subsequently our dinner celebration. It appeared two managers made eye contact with us, but no one came to speak with us or make any attempt to make things right. Three adult entrees, a Sam Adams draft and a Brazilian Sun Cocktail, $90.79 plus tip ($109) for cold, dry food, and a disappointing uncharacteristic experience. Bummer!
