Good value and comfortable

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 3 weeks ago
Pleasant and efficient staff. Great location. Comfortable rooms. Overall, this hotel is good. Breakfast items available for purchase was good. Great free coffee. Easy location for transportation on the train. A short walk to the FamilySearch library made it worthwhile. The hotel overall could use an upgrade but good value for a week's stay.

Best for me not to give a review. I travel more than 200+ days a year and other than the convenience to the Family Search library, if you can do without sleep or housekeeping and don’t mind being overcharged for your moldy bathtub, knock yourself out!

Room tip: Nasty, but close to LDS Temple and library

A nice hotel very clean staff excellent
This room size was just right for the 2 of us.
A view of the Utah state capital, very nice at night lite up - nice surprise
we were on the 10th floor also with this view.
City Creek Mall was a few minutes walking and so beautiful - we went at night
and all lite up too - the water fountains were beautiful.

A perfect affordable location for research at the Family History library—a stone's throw away. The WiFi was very slow in my room. The furnishings are old and showing their age. There was a small patch of what appeared to be mold in the upper back corner of the bath and a colleague had some mold in her bath, too. Apart from that, cleanliness was excellent. The beds were great. Micro and fridge were great. Desk chair was broken; maintenance brought a good one speedily. The cable tv reception was poor on a number of channels. Outlets were all for three prong plugs, which was fine for me, but others would likely want combo with USB plugs. In ADA rooms like mine, shower heads should be left on the low bar setting, not way high in standard position. I could barely reach it to get it down. The safe in my room did not lock, so was not usable. The rooms are adequate, feel very 1970s, and are roomy, but could use a design "refresh." This place is good for the basics. I’d stay again, but don’t expect the high-end sleek appeal that expensive or remodeled places have.

Room tip: South facing rooms get a lot of street noise. ADA rooms vary in amenities and set up, so be sure to get what you need!

Friendly staff and location across from light rail was perfect for walking to downtown adjacent to indoor mall.. Breakfast options are limited and not a priority. Room was great! There are no charging ports though. Overall satisfied with value and a quick stay.

Decent hotel with great location. Impression of staff were that they were very good and helpful. Some small items were noticed and annoying. A parking fee was required, breakfast was not included and the Wi-Fi did not work. If these items were corrected, it would be a great hotel.
