I prepaid for a hotel room and called ahead to let the hotel know I was going to be arriving very late to make sure they didn’t cancel my reservation. I was assured they wouldn’t.
When I arrived, it was after hours and they almost didn’t let me in the hotel lobby because they in fact, canceled my reservation. The hotel manager herself, Marianna, came out and instead of fixing the issue, started lecturing me because I was irritated they charged me and cancelled my reservation, and told me to stay somewhere else at 2am. (To clarify, I was not swearing, or yelling, or doing anything to warrant this.) She changed her mind after 15 minutes, but continued to go off on me and wouldn’t give me my room keys until she was done berating me for her mistake.
Marianna is a terrible manager, and I cannot believe that she acted in this manner. I love this hotel - it is my go-to whenever I am here for work (about once a month) but I will not staying here any more.
