Comfortable motel in good location

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Aug 7, 2019
Stayed one night and enjoyed the proximity to SLC's downtown area and free parking. The Tempur-pedic beds were comfy. It is a motel so if your neighbors are noisy, you will hear them. Luckily, it was not bad on our night. We stopped at the free breakfast, but the few tables were occupied and food selections meager. We did appreciate the gesture though and had a glass of juice and instant oatmeal. Would recommend this property, as long as you are not expecting more than a motel.

I stayed here with my mom and 2 daughters for our annual convention and it was great! Room was clean and they gave us extra towels. The pool was a nice place to just let the girls burn off some energy. The only thing I'd have liked was some different fruits for breakfast.

Stayed one night. The inn is affordable and conveniently located within walking/driving distance of good restaurants, shopping, entertainment, etc. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and water hot. What more could you want for a cheap stay?

This place is a very ugly out dated hotel. The price is very low, my family members and I paid $67 a night, with the exception of my in-laws, they paid $67 plus $70 per night for their pets. Our room looked out dated. The shower tile, ceiling and floors were painted over many times and was peeling. The A/C worked very well. My group got there at different hours. We arrived first and got the only available spot in the parking lot. My other family members got there at different parts of the night and in laws in the early hours of the next day. They weren’t so lucky. They didn’t find spaces to park and were extremely tired. The hotel staff suggested they illegally park in do not park areas. I didn’t stay the whole time and cancel the rest of my stay because I notice early in the morning when I used the rest that the door knob had blood smeared all over it. I checked my kids because I thought maybe they one of them had a cut or a bloody nose, but no one did. I packed up my things up immediately, and asked for a refund. They didn’t want to refund my money, I asked for a cancellation and a refund for the rest of my stay. They had to call the owner and get it approved. I got a hold of my booking service and explained what happened. I took plenty of pictures of it and then cleaned it up. So none of my kids would get in contact with the blood while we packed. The hotel then claimed there was no blood. I also told the front staff I cleaned and took pictures of the blood before I cleaned it. It’s not worth it if you have children. Maybe okay if it’s a quick sleep and continue your road trip for a Young on a budget couple. That’s it. But stay at your own risk kinda place. Don’t expect much. And get there super early to grab a parking spot.

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us, and we're sorry to hear that you encountered some inconvenience during the stay, unfortunately, after further investigation, we found no trace of the blood smearing that you mentioned in that room before the check-in, but we found the trace of the smell of nail polish after you checked out of the room. also, none of this has been mentioned on your first day of stay, thus at that point refund is not possible. Also, you agreed on the $20 per pet for pet fee, and you had 3 which added up to $60(it was not 70, if your charge says otherwise you can show us the transaction record regarding that).

Very clean rooms, check-in was easy and the staff I met were very friendly. Bed was very comfortable.

Some of the fittings were slightly worn, wall paper could do with an update as could the air-con units.

However, I really enjoyed my stay here and it is very centrally located. Also very inexpensive.

The Metropolitan Inn is located very near downtown SLC and is very well priced! The beds are very comfy and the rooms are fine and dandy with appliances and AC. The beds are amazingly nice but otherwise standard hotel room. Service was great both in the mid afternoon and when checking out at 3AM. Great stay!
