Really nice property. Affordable room in April 2021. Super clean. Breakfast and pool were open and appreciated. I wish the bed was a tad softer; it was really hard. I would for sure stay here again though.

This was a nice clean property with plenty of amenities. Nice hot breakfast each morning, hot tub/pool and a gym with everything you need for a great workout. The staff was very friendly and attentive to customer service.

Went to SLC for a last minute ski trip. Stayed at the Hampton Inn Downtown. I normally try to stay near the Cottonwood Canyon roads but decided to stay downtown as we planned to go North to Snowbasin and Powder Mountain too. The room was nice and clean, lots of Covid protocol in place claiming sanitization, cleaning etc. The breakfast was pretty standard but certainly good. Throughout our stay I found any and all the staff I interacted with were above and beyond helpful, and very friendly. I met the GM at the front desk and had a nice casual conversation with her. It's probably an automated system but "she" texted me a few times during my 4 night stay and wanted to ensure we were enjoying our visit and questioned if we needed anything extra. Nice touch! On departure day, the snow event that slammed Texas and other states was completely disrupting air travel. When we questioned the front desk about staying another night and they were more than helpful. We actually paid for another night then found a last second flight to get home. So we panic packed and blitzed by the front desk after just paying for that night. They happily refunded our stay no questions asked. I saw where someone said the neighborhood was bad. I didn't really feel that it wasn't safe. We found lots of good dining within a mile of the hotel. Way to cold to walk to, but I think you could? One minor negative, we had a King room with a sofa. it was an adjoining room. One night the room was occupied, we could hear everything they said and did. Was it the door or thin walls, not sure? The staff made this trip for us. Super nice people.

Room tip: We stayed in the back, facing a parking lot. The other side faced a busy road. Our side was quiet.

My friend and I shared a room at this hotel and had a nice stay. Breakfast wasn’t terrific but what do you expect with Covid parameters for safety. Room was clean and sanitized. Front desk was very accommodating and kind. Walls are a bit thin. You can hear children running down hallways. Our stay was pleasant and uneventful.

3.5 stars if I could. The hotel itself is fine. The staff is friendly, the room is spacious, and the facilities are well-kept. We found the bed to be very uncomfortable (extremely stiff). Just a basic breakfast. Location is within walking distance to Temple Square and some great restaurants, however in a neighborhood that seemed to us as unsafe - certainly did not feel safe walking around after dark. Personally I would recommend paying a bit more to stay in a nicer hotel + a better location, but our stay here was certainly fine.

Thank you for staying with us at the Hampton Inn Salt Lake City - Downtown. We greatly appreciate your feedback and are glad that your overall experience with us has been satisfactory. It's very encouraging to receive such great reviews.

I am sorry that you felt uncomfortable in the area around our hotel. There is a homeless presence in Salt Lake City. We take the safety and security of our guests very seriously and are regularly working with the police and the city to improve the local area. I have shared your comments with the police and the mayor's office.

Thanks again and Happy Travels!
