Another fabulous, relaxing stay at Calabogie Lodge Resort. Calabogie Lodge has really went above and beyond during this pandemic. Professional, hospitable and sympathetic are the vibes I got when dealing with the staff. An absolute delight to deal with. I had a spacious one bedroom suite overlooking the gorgeous frozen Calabogie Lake. When it snowed, the whole resort transformed in to a winter wonderland. Now let’s talk about the rooms. The rooms consistently exceed expectations, they are constantly being renovated. The kitchen in particular is pristine with brand new appliances and a nice marble island, the king bed is super comfortable to the point it hinders productivity (because you won’t wanna get out of bed) and the fire place gives the room a great cabin feel. Special thanks to Sherill, Marty and Joanne for making my stay extra special. However, I must warn that a deep feeling of sorrow sets in on your final day in Calabogie. Personally on the morning I was supposed to checkout, I clenched my eyes shut and hoped it was actually a Thursday so that I’d have just one more day in Calabogie. Unfortunately my hopes were crushed when I received that dreadful call from Joanne at the front desk reminding me that it was time to checkout on that fateful Friday morning, that’s when reality set in. Consider yourselves warned. Calabogie really is Ontario’s best kept secret and there is unquestionably no better place to enjoy it than at Calabogie Lodge Resort.

Our family have stayed at Calabodgie several times and have always enjoyed our stays here. Depending on the season you will find something that you will certainly keep you entertained. On property they have an indoor pool and hot tub, games room, restaurant, tennis courts, a great little children's playground, and of course since you are lakeside, they have swimming, boating, and water sports equipment! Nearby, within 10 minutes they have downhill and cross country skiing, as well as all kinds of hiking. The little town it is in has a couple of restaurants, gas station and small grocery store. Within an hour you will be in the Capital of Canada, Ottawa, take the time to tour the Ottawa sites, museums, galleries', byward market to name just a few. The suites are well layed out and have all you will need for your stay. Their Covid precautions were excellent and they followed local and provincial health recommendations. Lastly, but most important, the staff are excellent!
