Super busy after 8 on a recent Friday night. Sat at the bar since the wait for a table was estimated to be 45-60 minutes. Best part of the visit was their beers; fine cross section of styles and all that we tasted were spot on. Food was good (sandwiches and sides) but nothing stood out. Prices were reasonable. Service was okay considering how much the bartender was handling. Live music started halfway thru our meal. Band was fair, but the lead vocalist made us look forward to him taking a break. Understand they have a quality happy hour, so if you are planning a visit, it is something to consider. Beer enthusiasts will also have plenty of options in the general area.

We expected standard bar food fare at this brew pub located in front of a sprawling shopping complex south of town. However, the lunch menu was interesting and out of the ordinary. One example of an out of the box offering—shredded short rib and grilled cheese. My wife enjoyed her bacon lettuce and fried green tomato sandwich on sourdough, with a spicy sauce. My Juicy Lucy burger was cooked to order and delicious. I washed it down with an excellent house brewed IPA. The accompanying sweet potato fries were plentiful and delicious. Service was friendly and prompt. One gripe: a bad “background” music mix played quite loudly through our lunch, prompting us to depart sooner than we would have, without dessert.

Stopped by on a Friday night. Family friendly with a good number of children with parents. Band with Irish music. Nice ambiance even if I couldn't understand the words. Decent menu. I had roast beef sandwich. My wife liked the reuben. I tried two IPAs which were both good. My wife liked the pale ale. Our server could loosen up and be more friendly to out-of-towners. Or at least stop by to check on us. We had to stop him for napkins. Many if not most brew pubs I've been to offer a sample or two before you decide. That wasn't offered. Maybe not allowed in MD. I know it's more glasses to wash but it's a nice touch. Of course, they do offer beer flights. We'd go again if in the area.

Food is very good. They have very nice specials, especially the all-you-can-eat shrimp night. I highly recommend the cream of crab soup. It is very rich. Lots of craft beer choices. Wish the outside sign on the building would get fixed.

We stopped by for beer and were pleasantly surprised. We tried several and drank a pint or two. We found all of the different styles well done and very good tasting. Service was awesome. The brewery also had live entertainment, two different groups. We drank at the bar only and did not try any food.

We recommend Barley and Hops for anyone who enjoys a very good beer.
