If you are looking for a very basinshotel with good location, this is the place. The hotel has AC, tv and bath tube inside the rooms. The breakfast is paid extra, not included in the night price. Attention to the cleaning hours until 2pm.

This hotel is a incredible waste of hotel and real estate potential. The prime location, big spacious rooms with fresh large bathrooms, big beds, good WiFi, large windows and amazing views from the terrace over the whole Lugo. At the same time, I would give it at zero on a coziness scale. Google maps says “subdued choice” and they are right. The room feels bare; bright cold lightning everywhere; unexpected cheap elements here and there, like small plastic shower heads in the bathroom. The terrace and the restaurant with potentially amazing views has such a poor design and lightning that it rather reminds you of a Soviet Union canteen, while it has a potential of the most hip place in town. The place is crying for a good interior designer. All in all, it is a decent place to stay overnight for a very decent price (50€). However, should we go to Lugo again, I would rather stay further from the town, but in a more charming hotel.

Although the location of the hotel is very good, right in the center of the city, the hotel is unfortunately disappointing, especially since it is a 4 star ranked hotel. The room was big but not clean, there was hair in the bed and on the floor. It’s a shame that such a nice hotel, can’t offer clean, proper rooms.

After having walked from O Cavados Baleira (on the Camino Primitivo), I needed a nice hotel in which to stay and erase the (less than stellar) experience there.

From the friendly greeting upon arrival, to the spotless room, to the (Best on the Camino) breakfast...this place fit the bill. The staff was helpful to a person, the location cannot be bettered, and the breakfast sent me off from Lugo wanting to return to this treasure of a hotel...!

Our visit to Lugo was only two nights. This hotel is very well located, just inside the historical area, but as we walked to it from the bus station, we had some difficulties finding it. It is not clearly identified from the street.

Our first surprise was that the lobby is not located at street level, and there is no ramp or working elevator. As we struggled to carry our luggage through the stairs (about 6 steps), someone from the personnel came out to help. We saw an elevator at the entrance, but we were told that is for guests on wheelchair.

Our room was surprisingly large, but not attractive. It was quiet and to our surprise, the bathroom was fitted with handicap furniture. This was very odd, but at the end we did not mind much about it. The breakfast was adequate and from the buffet room there is a city view which is interesting if not great.

Fortunately, there is an elevator from the lobby to the upper floors. The halls and the elevator areas are very dark, and we noticed an almost total absence of decorations.

This hotel is advertised as being a four star one. In our opinion, the lack of charm, the service quality, and the rooms, are clearly of lower rating. One last surprise occurred when we left. We paid our bill, and expected a printed receipt. As it turned out, this was not possible, the front desk does not have a computer. This is something you do not find very often these days. But, for us it was not important, the credit card printout was enough.

I am hesitant to recommend this hotel. But if you do not mind the details here mentioned, go there, and enjoy Lugo. The hotel location is excellent for that.
