Massive room

Absolutely huge room - king size bed, sitting area for watching TV, separate bath and kitchenette. Good location within Anchorage, staff were very helpful. There is a bar/restaurant that doubles as the breakfast area. Nice place to stay for a couple of days.

This hotel is in a central location in downtown Anchorage in walking distance to a variety of restaurants and tourist shops. The hotel staff is professional and very pleasant willing to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Our room was very clean and furnished adequately. Weekend late nights can be a bit noisy outside the hotel area though We had a quiet room facing the back. Breakfast was very basic- a couple of cereal choices, breads and waffles, juice. Parking is available, $10 per day at a lot that is a quick walk across the street.

We spent three nights at the Historic Anchorage Hotel. It is not new and modern, but makes up for it in charm. Our room was beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable.

The location is great. We were within walking distance of the Alaska Railroad Station as well as many of the things we wanted to do downtown. It was accessible enough to drop off shopping in our room.

Every time we walked into the lobby, I'd made the comment that I loved the hotel.

One note - it is an old hotel. The room did not have air conditioning, but there was a nice fan and the windows opened. We were comfortable every night even though the temperatures outside were warm.

I love authentic historic hotels and this one delivered. It's a little musty, but the staff is great and we got a lovely suite rather than a typical small hotel room. The location is right in the middle of downtown Anchorage and within walking distance of everything.
I loved the photo in the bathroom of Anchorage as a tent city. As a Floridian, my favorite memory is trying to turn on the air conditioner. Duh! I was in Alaska in a historic hotel!

Very old property, kept up well but age shows in (lack of) comfort. Rooms are tiny. Barely room to move around in, and zero space to put anything down in the bathroom. Would never stay here for more than a night. We were supposed to stay two nights, but due to airport weather delays were a day late. And due to their unreasonable cancellation policy, they kept my first night's rent. I emailed the general manager begging for an exception to policy due to the circumstances but she wasn't courteous enough to respond..

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at our property. I do apologize that your concerns were not addressed in a timely fashion as for your reservation was prepaid with Expedia.com. With a full house and only 26 rooms, in order for us to keep a clean room for your early next day arrival we checked you into the room. Please feel free to call me to discuss in detail.
Thank you again.

Stayed at this historic hotel for 2 nights. It is a great little hotel close to loads of bars and restaurants. The staff are all very friendly and helpful! Be sure to buy some Alaskan souvenirs next door for folks back home.
