After two very full work years and no holidays - and visits to other busy sites in Bali, coming to Taman Selini was balm for the soul: lovely, spacy bungalows with romantic (and well functioning) private outdoor shower as part of the bathroom, with a private veranda in front of the bungalow - almost the size of the rooom, with a mosquito-netted day-bed, two good armchairs and a peek into the lush park full of frangipanis, bouganvilla and others lovely flowers spreading a beautiful scent, this was like ... paradise? With super friendly, service-oriented and respectful staff, a high level of cleanliness, frequently exchanged sheets and towels and daily decoration of both in-door and out-door bed with flowers as hearts or other beautiful patterns, you could only feel welcome and at ease. And moving out of the veranda on to the super well kept park-like surrounding, the clean, warm, big and beatiful pool was nearby - and well maintained beach on the other side of that. The coconut palms and other trees of the beach front secured shade if that was what you wanted, and eco-reefs to restore the coral life for future generations and for snorkeling right there - at the beach. The water warm, mostly clean and lovely for staying for ... hours chatting, enjoying life. I don't think I exaggerate when saying that this is the best place for a relaxing couple holiday site I can imagine. Lovely <3
Good well functioning aircon. Big bathroom (half way outdoors). No waterboiler for coffee/tea. No fridge. But helpful restaurant staff: can fetch thermos with boiled water etc.

Room Tip: Situated in the lush green park, stepping out you see the sea. I don't think there are any bad room choices.

On the beach, comfortable rooms, good service and beautiful gardens. Hard to imagination a more ideal destination for a family with small children. Great pool, calm water on the beach and an artificial reef within easy swimming distance. Lots of options for booking snorkeling and diving at Menjangan Island in immediate vicinity. Looking forward to another 5 days at the Taman Selini and more adventures.

Room Tip: Bungalows offer good beach views and are close to the restaurant and pool, but a long walk back to reception.

I have been to the Taman Selini twice, in March 2001 and in March 2018 and ever since my first time there it had been the epitome of the perfect getaway for me. Returning after 17 years didn't disappoint me- it's still as lush, beautiful, stylish and run by a warm hearted and helpful staff just like back then. This time I stayed there with my family and everybody else fell in love with the place, too. The bungalows are clean, beautiful with a stylish yet authentic decor, the food is fresh and delicious, the garden lush and the beach is clean, the sea amazing and it's not full yet lively enough for kids to find playmates, to snorkel and for the parents to read and relax. You can go diving, dolphin watching and snorkelling. Many of the places in Bali have changed since 2001, thank God the Taman Selini and Pemuteran haven't.

I've lived in Bali for almost a year and only once seen drinks more expensive than this place. 55,000 Rp for a large Bintang. Plenty places on the north coast do the same for 32,000 and 35,000 Rp. It immediately put me off eating or staying here.

Room Tip: Ask reception

We had a small little house near the beach and by the pool. Beautifully furnished with good materials and nice art. The outdoor shower is very beautiful as is the own terrace with an outside leisure bed with Moskito net. The garden and pool are lovely and well kept. The weekly Moskito fogging seems to help and every evening there was a coil lit on our terrace, very considerate. As we were staying in march, there was a special price offer, so ist seemed really reasonable. Such a beautiful lobby to arrive to. The beach is just in front of the hotel with leisure chairs. Snorkeling right at the beach possible. Nice beach with many pretty restaurants. The ones on the road are far less expensive and nice too. We had a good breakfast right by the beach in the lovely restaurant.
All services like scooters and taxis are much cheaper booked elsewhere than at the hotel lobby.
