Try to avoid at any cost! No direct transfer to gilli air, as promised! NOT SAFE at all!VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Don’t use when you need to be on time!! Dont support this company!!!!!
This is our story, hope you can learn from our mistake of travelling with Wahana Gili Ocean!!
We used Wahana Transport from Badang Bai to Gili Air (Boat trip at 13.00 pm) with an intermeadiate stop at Gili Trawangan. We purchased our tickets online and used their included transfer from Ubud ( Coco Market-near monkey forest) to the port. Although the pickup time was at 10am, the pickup van was 40minutes late!!The transport to pandang bay took us 1h20min. Everything was fine (except the long wait for the pickup) until we finally arrived at the port destination. Then the nightmare started! Arriving at the port the chaos started. We were guided into a local restaurant, with the checkin desk being at the very end of the restaurant. We had to stand in line through the entire restaurant, where people were eating and having drinks! No real information was given - neither on the boat arrival, departure or any other kind of helpful information. Just „wait here“! Everybody was just standing cluelessly around, hoping for any kind of information! We were thus forced to sit in the restaurant, but eventually had to leave because the seating was reserved for customers only! They forced you to consume something! We had to wait outside in the blazing sun. After 1h waiting in the heat - already past departure time-someone just screamed boarding, when everybody started to grab their luggage and walked to the pier. Total chaos! People gathered in the heat at the pier with no clue where to go and when to board the boat! Total chaos since there were passengers with different company tickets! The boat finally left 2h late from the expected destination time!!! The boat had no AC as promised from the company! Only two ventilators at the front! Suffering from the heat in the middle/end of the boat!! The seating was terrible- no space, unpleasant heat! Arriving at the first intermediate stop - Gili Trawangan- we were informed by the crew that the boat won’t stop at the promised destination at gili air.!! The boat instead went to Lombok, where a substitue boat transport was promised. Again no further information was given by the crew. They just walked away, when trying to get further information and when people started to complain! Totally unprofessional! At Gili Trawangan further passengers on the way to Bali boarded the boat- there were not enough seats for all passengers. People were standing at the back of the boat!! Absolutely not safe!!! At Lombok we had to carry our luggage across the shore to a small boat, which finally brought us to gilli air!
The entire trip took us an entire day-9h!!!! This was absolutely one of the worst trips ever and we would certainly NOT recommend this company at all!Totally unsafe and unprofessional!
