Came in during the week late at night in January. No lines. Was afraid they would have run out of the best cuts, but we were in luck. As others have said, the brisket is superlative, but everything was nice. You buy usually by the half pound, but when you come in for seconds you can make it less. My new reference for my own BBquing attempts ! If you cannot go to the Southern states, this will do it.

If you don't look, you will miss this quaint little place. We went on New Year's Eve, it wasn't crowed but the atmosphere was fun. The bartender was very engaging and personal. So much so, that he treated us to some bagpipe music, even though it was his first time. Now onto the review. The bar and food are separate. You have to order the food at a separate counter and order your drinks from the bar across the hall. The food was great and the portions reasonable. We had the black Angus brisket with the burnt ends baked beans. The prices are fair considering we were in NY. The brisket was well done, just enough fat, tender and cooked all the way through. The baked beans were just about perfect. We also treated ourselves to the cornbread which was as expected for cornbread. All in all, a very pleasant experience in a tucked away part of Brooklyn. A must visit just for the atmosphere and some good bbq.

We are certified judges for BBQ contests on weekends so we can be a bit of BBQ snobs. Most of society likes their BBQ overcooked until it is mush in your mouth. I had heard of this establishment from some other judges who said it was closer to our BBQ liking. We arrived and found street parking a couple of blocks away. The neighborhood, Williamsburg, is quite gentrified and a destination for many new New Yorker's. This is not fine dining, this is BBQ. You enter a garage and stand on line. When you arrive to the gentleman cutting meat you order the meats available by the pound, it is placed on a cafeteria style tray that is lined with brown butcher paper, you advance to the cashier who provides you with breads and then you find a seat at community style picnic tables. If you want an adult beverage that is another line. It all went very smoothly and we found a seat with no issue. We even chatted with some locals who were with their parents visiting from out of town. The meats were cooked very nicely. They had a number of their own sauces to sample. We had brisket, Ribs and some burnt ends baked beans. I enjoyed it enough to want and go back to sample more of their meats. I was happy with my experience and will be back.

Went on one Thursday night and it filled up quickly. We ordered a variety of items; brisket, pulled pork, pork belly. While the pulled pork was a bit dry, the brisket was so so tasty. Nice char on the ends and extremely tender. Throw a little sauce from the 4 choices on the table and you are on your way. The corn bread was moist and tasty too.
Love the vibe. You feel like you’re in Austin

My boyfriend and I went here due to the number of recommendations. I was quite disappointed really with the restaurant overall. I got four ribs and burnt baked beans with a coke and the cost was just shy of forty dollars. They only had full fat beverages as well. Maybe just a little bit overhyped really.
