While in NYC & Brooklyn to celebrate Valentine’s Day & my birthday, we decided to try the Lobster Joint after reading its reviews. We made a great choice! My husband ordered a Connecticut Roll with a side of Onion Rings; I choose their Fish & Chips. We also shared a bowl of Clam Chowder. All of our food was served hot; everything was really good quality & the taste was awesome. The restaurant had a nice nautical theme & it was clean. Our waitress Mackenzie H was pleasant & was glad to explain the items on the menu that we weren’t familiar with. I would recommend the Lobster Joint for those who love seafood.

Looking for a fun New England-style seafood joint? You probably don't think "Hey, let's head to Greenpoint." But maybe you should.
Found this place by chance. Was planning to go to the lobster place down by the Brooklyn Bridge, but that didn't work out and Yelp steered me to a long G train ride to here. I'd never been to Greenpoint, and was seriously skeptical when I saw Manhattan Avenue - it simply doesn't look like the location for a good seafood place.
But - the reception from the bartender/waiter was excellent. This was a really hot day, and before I was even sitting at the bar he had an ice water poured & handed it across with a pleasant greeting. And the great service never stopped.
The Connecticut lobster roll here is pretty excellent, especially given the price (very reasonable by NYC standards) and the overall quality (it's smallish, but splendid).
Definitely headed back here next summer.

They're served with butter, only, in a sliced hot-dog roll, and the lobster meat is warm ($19). My wife's Lobster Salad ($22) was stuffed with big pieces of lobster, and avocado: wonderful! The side of Pickles and Cole Slaw (only $3!) had three whole, tasty pickles, and under-spiced coleslaw that could use a kick. A water glass of Sauvignon Blanc ($9) was a bargain. We'll be back.

Haven't been here for several months and all is not well. Menu has shrunk in offers (especially veggies) and market fresh offerings. My comfort food staple--clams strips--use to taste like clams (not tonite). Server attitude/treatment straddled indifferent and hostilely indifferent. It's easy to part with a lot of money here; DONT

Reasonably priced lobster rolls and the place has a real New England lobster Joint type feeling. If the weather is nice, eat in the backyard. We mistakenly ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese but glad we ended up with it as it was delicious! It's also huge but thankfully it's served in a takeout-ready tray.

The only knock is we got a lot of little lobster "legs" in our order but the people next to us got claws and big chunky bits. The only difference is they ordered a Connecticut lobster roll. Hmmm...
