Looking for a fun New England-style seafood joint? You probably don't think "Hey, let's head to Greenpoint." But maybe you should.
Found this place by chance. Was planning to go to the lobster place down by the Brooklyn Bridge, but that didn't work out and Yelp steered me to a long G train ride to here. I'd never been to Greenpoint, and was seriously skeptical when I saw Manhattan Avenue - it simply doesn't look like the location for a good seafood place.
But - the reception from the bartender/waiter was excellent. This was a really hot day, and before I was even sitting at the bar he had an ice water poured & handed it across with a pleasant greeting. And the great service never stopped.
The Connecticut lobster roll here is pretty excellent, especially given the price (very reasonable by NYC standards) and the overall quality (it's smallish, but splendid).
Definitely headed back here next summer.
