Interesting hotel. Industrial chic. We paid extra for a view room and the view of Manhattan is impressive. The bed was comfortable. The facility was clean. The restaurant is very good but pricey. The rooftop bar is cool.
On the downside, the room furnishings were quite spartan. The room was not warm or welcoming. There were no drawers in the room. None! Not in the side tables, not in the bathroom, not in the closet. No dresser. I called the front desk and they said use the closet. So we could hang stuff up but otherwise had to live out of our suitcases. So this is trendy? In a pricey hotel?
There is a large window between the bathroom and the bedroom. It’s supposed to be a one way reflective window but whichever side has the light on is the side you can see into. Whose idea was that?
The TV was kind of small attached to the far wall.
As far as noise is concerned, one night had noisy band music coming from somewhere til midnight. The other two nights were okay..
No business center. If you need to print something (like boarding passes or itinerary) tough luck. I needed to print something and the woman at the front desk asked me to text it to her and she would print it. She was very nice about it but it didn’t work.
In summary, the hotel is sort of a work of art, but not particularly comfortable or convenient. It has some nice amenities, but overall not the best for the price.
