Had an excellent stay at Courtyard Marriot and special Thank you to Todd and all the Valet staff which made things easy for my husband and I ! They not only provided Valet services but gave directions and suggested wonderful places to eat or see!

Better properties available. Old building. Rooms are quite small, and sitting furniture (desk chair and part. the couch) are VERY uncomfortable and hence not useable. Porch/balcony was filthy (old wrappers from prior guests) and unswept. Hard to find because sign was blocked by trees. Staff was nice, but the property and experience are an entire letter grade below par for a Marriott. You must have a car to go downtown, not walkable, but this wasn't a drawback for us.

Room tip: Try another hotel

We were at this facility a short time but there were no problems. In fact the desk manager was very helpful in making changes with our Marriott points and our room was clean and neat. Overall a unobjectionable visit

On our second trip to Savannah we wanted a hotel not in downtowns, but near a couple of out-of-town sites we planned to visit (Pin Point Heritage Museum and Wormsloe State Historic Site). This was perfect. Courtyard Marriotts are a cut above the basic road warrior hotel, and this one was very nice. More pricey than, say, a Hampton Inn ($265 per night), but worth it for the well appointed room, including, importantly, the toilet and shower separated from the sink/vanity. And there is a Starbucks in the lobby! A little too cool for swimming, but there is a pool, and a lovely courtyard. One complaint: the microwave in our room (#133) did not work.

Room tip: A room on the Abercorn St. side of the hotel, rather than the White Bluff Rd. side, will be quiter.

The pictures and the lobby area make this hotel seem modern, but that's simply not the case. The rooms are reasonably clean, but everything is so dated. The fact that everything is so old makes me concerned about the cleanliness. The rooms aren't inviting - they're dark, and a little musty with low popcorn ceilings. The bathroom looks like a hospital bathroom. Little considerations like hooks on the wall for towels are completely neglected. The hairdryer - pretty sure I had the same semi-functional one in 1990. Be advised that they allow pets at the hotel (which meant that I had a dog in the room next to mine howling for hours). The room does the job, but it's not particularly relaxing or inviting.
