Lovely historic register property in center city Philadelphia. Like staying in someone’s home. Friendly helpful staffer Julio was excellent. Highly recommended. Clean quiet and roomy. Breakfast is served in the morning and complimentary

The Morris House Hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance to many major tourist sites. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful in making suggestions of sites to see in the area which I otherwise would have missed. The breakfast buffet provides ample choices to keep you going all day long and it is lovely to have tea and coffee and sinfully delicious cookies available in the afternoon and evening. My room although on the street was very quiet

I have to say the team this past weekend were so accommodating. Rooms quite clean, breakfast and sitting areas immaculate. We got there early and was able to check in and later on Sunday they were able to accommodate ourMarathon runner to use the room later that day to recuperate.

Perfectly charming hotel with exceptional service and hospitality. We stayed their in preparation for a exam at Wills Eye hospital, which was only steps away. It is centrally located and quiet during the day if you are on business. I highly recommend staying there.

Room tip: There is a convenient parking garage across the street and a place to pull in on St. James to offload luggage.

When we are traveling through Philadelphia and have a few days to sightsee, we like to stay at a boutique hotel in the old city. Morris House hotel is just that! With 17 rooms, it is certainly small but the charm of this home is what I imagined the Morris family had in mind when they hosted their guests.
The moment you arrive at the front door through the lobby; you are warmly greeted with a smile and an offer of afternoon tea. Each concierge we encounter has a wealth of knowledge and love of the city. They know exactly where to guide you whether you are looking for a great restaurant, nice walk or historic location.
I highly recommend trying the Morris House next time you are passing through Philadelphia and see for yourself how charming the old city can be.

Room tip: Main house room are In keeping with historical theme.
