Great hotel with a great location on Philadelphia downtown and an amazing hot breakfast. Front desk very friendly and willing to help. Special thanks to Deanna at the front desk that was very kind giving suggestions of vegan restaurants nearby with a friendly smile.

I have to start with the fact that the front desk staff is amazing and very helpful, especially Mark- he is a Rock Star!! Location is excellent! But that's about all of the good things I can say about this hotel.
Lobby is absolutely horrible, not clean and outdated. Only one entrance door actually works. The hallways smell horribly. We have booked a suit, there were 3 of us, so we needed two rooms. Who would've known that a bathroom would be inside the bedroom, so for the person who slept on a coach in the living room the only way to use the bathroom was to walk into the bedroom.
Bathroom is the whole different story: It is so small - one have to sit on the toilet in order to close the door. The bathtub has a glass door, which has a gap between the tub and the door, so a lot of water keeps leaking outside of the tub on the bathroom floor. By the end of the stay, most of the floor in the bathroom was covered with water despite our attempt to put paper towels on it.
No "Do Not Disturb" sign in the room. Wall paint is coming off.

Dear anechka05,

Thank you for taking the time in giving feedback from your stay. It looks like you booked a studio suite and not a one bedroom suite. They are the rooms that has 1 door to the bedroom and then the other guest will have a sofa bed in the living room. That way the bathroom can be used by either ones in the room.

Thanks again for choosing us and what an amazing front desk staff that we have here, especially Marc he is amazing!

Sincerely Ed F

Stayed here one night with my daughter. The location is great, walkable to the kümmel center as we were in town for a show. But wow! I’ve never stayed in such a low brown dirty Marriott. The lobby looks like a YMCA and smells like one. There were two large dogs staying here or visiting when we checked in and it stunk like damp and dog. The elevators were dirty with tumbleweeds of dust flying through them. Our room was a good size for two people but it was just falling apart. The floor molding was falling off and laying in front of the wall. The chair was covered with white flecks that we couldn’t identify and the couch was totally stained. My daughter was originally going to sleep on the couch but the stains deterred us which was a good thing because when I went to make up her bed, there were no sheets or blankets for the couch to be had. Nor was there an extra pillow. I get it’s Covid and there is no housekeeping. But this room had nothing. Not even dish soap on the kitchenette to wash a glass. The bedroom was actually the nicest and the cleanest part. But the bathroom looked like someone forgot to clean it. And it would have taken all of thirty seconds since this is the tiniest bath on the planet - you have to sit on the toilet before you can close the door. The shower had a huge and I mean huge mess of black hairs stuck to the wall and it didn’t drain well so that was fun to shower in standing water. The sink didn’t drain well either. The room had a great view of city hall but wow was it noisy. I think there was a motorcycle parade happening all night but that is of course not the fault of the hotel but just a heads up the forward facing rooms hear all the traffic.
All in all - this felt more like a college dorm or Ymca than a Marriott residence that considers itself a level 4. They should feel shame for their lack of cleanliness. That’s one thing within their control that would make for a much more enjoyable visit.

Dear christinatC8189JV,

First of all thank you for taking the time in letting us know how we did during your stay. As a Residence Inn brand hotel we do accept pets for stays. Unfortunately with the pandemic we're not leaving the set up for sofa beds in the rooms but will deliver upon request. I would like to talk further so if you want to reach out and contact the hotel and ask for the General Manager that would be great.

Sincerely Ed F

The staff members at the front desk and valet were all consistently friendly and helpful. The location was great and the view from the room was awesome. The room was clean, comfortable and mostly quiet. We would return to this hotel again. Glad we went here.

The location is great. Wonderful views of the city and the bedrooms are nicely remodeled. Had the 1 Bedroom Suite (with the tiniest bathroom ever. You have to sit on the toilet before you can close the door!). Having a small kitchen with all the utensils is convenient though.
The lobby is really outdated and doesn't match the style of the rooms. It really felt like I was walking into a YMCA lobby. With the main doors closed during the whole stay. The elevators are not cleaned every day and quite dirty. And I understand that in these COVID times housekeeping is not done on a daily basis but not having enough toiletpaper and towels for at least two days (on a 6 night stay) doesn't make it look like I'm in a Marriott property. The HVAC system was extremely noisy.
Breakfast was included but was take-out and included an apple, chocolate bar and a muffin.

Room tip: City view offers great views of City hall
