Being close to the historic sights in Philadelphia makes a big difference. Easy walking distance to major attractions and to bus/tour operators. Staff at Wyndham is great- warm greetings, great suggestions for places to eat, and generally treated us like special guests. Special thanks to Asia at the front desk for her great suggestions for dinner as well as to Arvel, who had the biggest smile for us every day and genuinely cared about the welfare and enjoyment of his guests.

It was a little difficult to get to the hotel. Went around the block several times due to all the one ways in Philadelphia. Once there the staff was very helpful. The room was clean.
The purpose of our stay was Garth Brooks concert. The hotel was only a block and half from the subway station.

We arrived late evening. You have to watch directions carefully due to the one way/slender streets. First impression -- very clean hotel with plenty of amenities. NOTE: I was able to get a reduced rate that included overnight parking through a Travelzoo deal -- parking is $32.75 overnight -- and we were able to keep our car in the garage until 5:00 pm the next day which was very convenient. Hotel is located adjacent to the burying ground of Benjamin Franklin.

Our room was clean -- it's an older hotel obviously -- with enough room for 3 people. Beds were comfortable; no issues with noise.

Staff -- this is where they excel. The night we arrived, my husband and I went down to the bar for a drink. We decided to order a couple of appetizers -- ordered guacamole but told by the bartender that they were out (it was after 9:30p), and he and the chef told us to order anything else wanted at no charge. Wow! We also asked for advice on the best way to travel to a college in the area -- we had been told to allow for 1.5 hrs drive time in the morning and were hoping for a better, easier way. He told us about the subway a couple of blocks away -- instead of 1.5 hrs - it took us approx. 30 minutes.

Check out was easy; asked them to hold our bags instead of putting them in the car (for security).

After our visit, we got back to the hotel around 1:30 ... starving. Decided to eat at the hotel ... they were just cleaning up after a business luncheon and told us we could eat at the bar. The wonderful, sweet lady there - BEV -- immediately gave us menus and water, took our orders and then she and I just started chatting about food, our moms, her kids - whom she is EXTREMELY proud of :). She was funny, she was sweet, she was just a lovely woman. People like that make such a difference to people away from home.

I'm glad we found this hotel -- it is on my saved list for any future visit to Philadelphia.

From an error in check in time, to a room change and a unforeseen extended stay by at least 3 days; Danielle was phenomenonal and an excellent choice to be the face of what the Wyndham name represents. Danielle was sensitive to the reason for our visit and made every acommendation to make sure my daughter and I were well taken care of. The staff & location is excelkent and I will book here for future visits. Thank you Danielle & God bless

Had the best hotel stay here at the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District! Greeted warmly when we entered hotel. Received excellent and friendly customer service especially from the two great employees behind the counter. My sincere thanks goes to Arvis and Danielle. They went above and beyond to ensure all our questions were answered and they helped recommend restaurants and points of interest in this lovely city of Philadelphia. The hotel is nice, clean and perfectly located to all the Historic sites. I hope that Wyndham holds on dearly to their great employees such as Arvis and Danielle. They are a real charm and they made my visit wonderful!
