If you are in town for an event at Madison Square Gardens there is no better location. And we bar hopped (and had appetizers and heard live music) at four places in as many hours. All very enjoyable. If you are in town for theatre only you probably want to stay a few blocks north, especially in cold months. But it’s a great starting place for Chelsea and beyond. Rooms were very clean and comfortable (not luxurious but you know that by price, right?). Staff super friendly. Great nights sleep. They help make the trip affordable. PS don’t try to Uber from here; it’s confusing. Grab a cab.

We booked for 7 nights and had a one bedroom suite , 2 bathrooms and separate bedroom adjacent to the lounge . It’s clean and spacious ! Beds are comfortable . The check in and out was swift and the staff are really friendly , warm and welcoming . This hotel is central and opposite penn station and Madison square gardens . Easy walk to Macy’s and Times Square . The adjacent bar that is called miles is also a very good place to eat . The food is fantastic , the breakfasts really set u up for the day .
My only negative comment is this hotel is very loud so bring your own ear plugs .... and u will be fine ? It’s next to the fire department and on one night it was just constant ( all be it , it’s not the hotels fault ) other than that this hotel has it all , cleanliness, friendly staff and superb location . We will return thanks again

Was in town for the Big East tournament and was disappointed in the rooms. Hotel was clean and lobby was updated and nice however the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Toilet ran every 3-5 minutes, very little counter/sink space and shower had moldy tile and shower head had a leak which sprayed over the entire ceiling while showering. Also when we checked in there was a half a roll of toilet paper, no Kleenex and half used bottles of shampoo. Windows in room were frosted and could not look outside. Window heater knocked all night long one night and somehow resolved itself the following night.

Nice flat screens in both sitting room and bedroom. Pull out couch is a nice queen size bed as well.

Bar is hotel lobby is convenient as is hotel restaurant. Prices are reasonable as well for NY.

While convenient to MSG I would be specific in asking for a higher floor as room conditions might be better?

Avoid this hotel at all cost. The rooms are dusty and noisy. I believe the air is contaminated. They cleaned the carpet and vacuumed everywhere, the dust was still there. The noise from the street is unbearable no matter what floor you are on. Overall a terrible experience!

We arrived at the Stewart Hotel tired and in need of some rest and relaxation. We were greeted by Andrew who was a total gem! He upgraded our room which made our trip! The one bedroom suite was so perfect for me and my son.We both had plenty of room and the kitchenette was an added bonus. We were so comfortable at the hotel and walking distance to absolutely everything New York has to offer! We will be back.Once again thank you Andrew!
