I attended a conference at this hotel, which would be the only reason I would stay here.
Good:
Location- if you want to be in Time Square
Staff- all were friendly and polite
Bad:
Oh, where to begin.....
Wifi- terrible. I had to keep reconnecting my phone. On the 5th floor meeting space I could not send or receive emails even with cell data turned on
Room- was pretty spacious by New York standards, but all else lacking
Pillows are awful. All hard and feel like they are stuffed with tennis balls
No bottled water
No fridge or mini bar
No make up mirror
No robe
Skimpy amenities- shampoo, conditioner, lotion and bar soap-that's it
Coffee maker, but no real cream, just the powered stuff. Gross. Was forced to drink tea, but the housekeeper didn't replenish it
Bathtub is yellowed and chipped. I do not believe this hotel is "newly renovated" as they claim
Room service- almost non-existent. I ordered a cheeseburger. It came in a bag like take out in a cardboard box. No fries or salad, no tray or plate. No cover to keep it warm. I had a soggy room temperature burger for $27. I guess all the big Marriotts are doing this now.
Disclaimer- they do have a concierge club, but I was too busy with the conference to visit it, so can't comment on that. Also did not have time for the gym, but it looked pretty big. I would only stay here if you are attending a meeting here and want convenience.
