I stayed here for a long weekend with my bestie, so we could see a show and do some sightseeing. It was very good location for that - walking distance to all the Broadway theaters and close to Rockefeller Center and shops. The rooms were comfortable. Elevator situation can get a little crowded and time consuming, but with 44+ floors, that is to be expected. While we visited, they were working on floors 42 on up, which was a little annoying at times. But we understand.
Nice lounges and restaurants, but super pricey, which is to be expected in this area. We found a GREAT place across the street for breakfast - Bond 45. Highly recommend.
Nice perk of the hotel, with your fees come 1 free ticket to a local attraction, and $35 each day that you can spend at the hotel restaurants.
If you are a Marriott rewards member, you'll get free wifi here too.
Beds were comfortable.
Being right on Times Square, there is some ambient noise, but that is to be expected. The drapes are true blackout drapes, which is necessary since the flashing lights of the city never stop (again, totally expected, that's what we are here for!)
We didn't have a car, so no comments on parking.
Checking in was a nice experience. Checking out, eh, the person handling that was not too friendly and never even asked how our stay was. Concierge and luggage service was outstanding, and this hotel has two offices that help you get show tickets and local attraction tickets, which was nice. Although I'm not sure we got a good value for the multi-pass sightseeing tour we purchased. Have to do a little more homework on that.
I've seen other reviews that say there is no room service, and that is incorrect. There is room service, it's just a little different than what other hotels offer. They do the "fresh bites" thing, where you get your meal delivered in a fancy little shopping bag instead of on a tray or cart. I didn't mind at all. Food was still good and service times were fine.
