I booked at the official hotel site for the dates of 14-19 March 2019, on the occasion of my youngest daughter's birthday.
By the date of March 11, my daughter became ill with influenza and for obvious reasons we could not fly. The airline quickly understood the situation and gave us a credit, but this hotel indicated that it would not return the money in spite of the situation and that if I wanted to change the date of stay it would need the approval of a manager. I called the hotel and got the manager's approval in writing for the change of dates, but not before telling me that the rate would increase due to the change and that they had to charge me more to accept it so that the dates could be changed and thus not lose the money. To my surprise they did not change the dates, I call the hotel the other day and they tell me that they would make the change and more charges to the card. I ask them to please send me an email confirming the new dates and they just sent me a picture of the computer screen and they wrote me that this was proof of the new dates and that they were charging $ 2000 dollars for the stay. I have communicated to the central offices, to the hotel in NYC and nobody wants to help or give me information. I understand that they used the data of the card, they made the charges and I do not have a reservation! That seems like a scam and a fraud.More
