The only reason I stayed at this dump was because there was a winter storm, and I needed to be as close as possible to my business meeting the next morning. It is dilapidated--think 60 year old public housing project dilapidated. Even the free bananas in the lobby were nearly black. Honestly, I'm not sure how it is that they haven't been defrocked of their Aloft brand by Marriott Corporate as it is a serious stain on the brand.
It is not, however, unclean, and I saw no signs of vermin or trash or other waste. The bed was fine, as were the linens, and the water pressure. The staff were friendly, too.
Bottom line, no matter how bad the snowstorm, or how convenient to any location, unless and until it is renovated, I wouldn't stay at this hotel again unless I lost a bet.
