We were zigzagging around Lower East Side and it was time to choose a place for lunch. We had been freezing during our stay in New York but it was finally the first warm day during we had so we decided to go to a place that looked like a restaurant from a Mediterranean country. The doors were welcomingly open and there was outside seating area too. Once we stepped inside we felt like we were in Greece. Very authentic interior décor: Blue and White interior, white floor with blue spots, blue window panes, floral arrangements. Greek music playing. We ordered bifteki pita and souvlaki pita with loukaniko sausage (lamb and pork sausage with orange peel). Fresh ingredients and good quality feta cheese. Both were very delicious but the portions could have been bigger especially if you are walking around Manhattan all day…They also have Greek products like biscuits and crackers for sale. Quick and friendly service. All in all wonderful setting for lunch.
