Spent six nights at the Jewel week before Easter. Perfectly situated a few meters from St Patrick's at fifth avenue with a walking distance to almost everything you would want to experience during a short visit to Manhattan. Very nice and friendly staff at reception especially Lisbeth. Functional rooms, we were a family of four in a two bedroom suite. Absolutely great with two bathrooms that provided unusually good lights and places to put your things. In the livingroom/kitchenette-area I would have preferred a different way to place the table and chairs, so that four persons could sit more comfortable together. Our room had only one window facing an office a few meters away, so I guess there's not much of a view unless you get a room facing the street (and Rockefeller Center). The Jewel provides bottles to fill with filtered water (with great taste) at every level. Good to know that the machine takes it time to fill those bottles.
I just have one thing to complain about and that is the lack of proper cleaning. There were items left from former guests indicating that drawers, kitchen cupboards and closets had not been cleaned at all.More
