Owner description: Through commemoration, exhibitions and educational programs, The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, a nonprofit in New York City, remembers and honors the 2,983 people killed in the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993, as well as those who risked their lives to save others and all who demonstrated extraordinary compassion in the aftermath of the attacks.

We prebooked tickets for 10.30 am and I recommend that you go at this time or before as it gets very busy especially in the exhibition.
We downloaded the app and took our headphones and it took us about 3 hours to go around the memorial/museum. There was a lot more for us to see in addition but we were too tired.
It is definitely worth visiting.

Beautiful and moving. Even though it was raining, the rain added to the somber mood. Read The Harbinger before going!

Very moving experience. Informative, well laid out and very very touching. Our family got the feeling of being up close to the greatest terror tragedy to hit our country. May the victims rest in peace.

We visited a much smaller version of this museum in 2009. Three hours into our visit this time we made our exit but could easily have spent another 3 hours taking in all the exhibits. A must see in NYC
