The price for this location definitely deserves 5 stars. It’s a typical business hotel, but I wouldn’t really consider it 4 stars since it’s old and a lot of things are broken. I’d compare it to a Holiday Inn or DoubleTree (around 3-3.5 stars).
Space: Compared to other hotels in Manhattan, QC is BIG. We had plenty of space for my son to play with his toys on the floor, and the king-size bed was perfect for sleeping—nothing can beat that.
Location: It’s right behind Ground Zero, making it easy to get to the subway.
Check-in: Super easy. When you arrive, you just use a kiosk to get your key card, and your room is randomly assigned. It’s fair—you don’t need to worry about they arrange u to the room closed to the elevator or at the end because you have kid with you. The staff is professional and friendly.
BUT…
The TV doesn’t work with phone connections, so you can’t stream your apps. They know about this issue but likely won’t fix it since the hotel is pretty old.
The bed sheets, carpet, AC, and WiFi are all dated, and I found some other people’s hair in the bathroom, sink, and on the bed. I guess that’s part of their eco-friendly approach.
