Owner description: Located in downtown San Diego, the USS Midway (Museum) was America’s longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century. Today, the interactive museum is an unforgettable adventure for the entire family as guests walk in the footsteps of the 225,000 young men who served on Midway. Visitors explore a floating city at sea, the amazing flight deck and its 29 restored aircraft, flight simulators, and are inspired in the Battle of Midway Theater, included with admission. Admission also includes a self-guided audio tour narrated by Midway sailors in English, Mandarin, Spanish, Japanese, French and German. Visiting Midway is a once-in-a-lifetime experience in San Diego, known around the world as "Navy Town, USA."

If you really want to see the air arsenal that the US has deployed, this is a must see when in San Diego. The self-guided audio tour is a real winner. It gives a new appreciation of what living on an aircraft carrier is like. Well done ✅

Great great great museum. The volunteers are great. There's a Starbuck's on board which is great. The tours are great. The audio gizmos work great. There is not one thing I regret other than we ran out of time. I would suggest to plan a 3 to 5 hr even. Don't forget the stuff at the bow of the ship and also plan to hi the bridge as early as possible as it gets busy quickly. Don't be afraid to ask the volunteers questions, they know their stuff and they love to talk about it which is... (you're guessing it right) GREAT!

Order tix via their website and you get a few bucks off.

If you're in service/firemen, bring your ID as I believe it's free but would recommend you contribute in other means. This is the best museum we've been to.

Love coming here! It was so great seeing all the men on board talk about their experience with the USS. Love hearing the stories. Great activity for kids.

Only had about 2 hours to spend here, you could easily spend 3-4. The docents that escort and inform you are very helpful and knowledgeable. There is also audio tours that provide a great deal of information. The entire ship had exhibits that helped bring the experience alive. I think anyone from elementary age to seniors would enjoy this.
