I see so many negative reviews and have really had nice stay so thought I’d review.
First the Pros- location (right next to sea world, mission beach, close to pacific and ocean beaches, right on the water so you can walk out your door and stroll on the beach..umm..so obviously I like the beach, barefoot beach Restaurant is great, several pools that are all warm on site for kids, although the property is huge you don’t feel all stacked on top of each other- privacy/spaced out, app to help w any services needed, most restaurants of the 5 on property had room service available, could rent surrey bicycle for your family to pedal around the property or buy a marshmallow kit to make a beach fire in pits provided, super clean room, well-stocked w a Keurig and a fridge.

Cons- pizza terrible at caveman pizza, just rather eat something else. Construction at one end of the hotel but it seems like they’re keeping it all contained in one area so guests aren’t too intertwined w that, the beach sand isn’t exactly nice. It’s neat to see all the outriggers, etc. but not clean sand for sand castles, etc. yes, there’s these silly resort and parking fees but if you know what you’re signing up for... they should just include it, yes.

Overall a pretty descent place. I’d come back.

Better in room dining and NO WAIT WHEN I AM CHECKING IN. If I am checking in and can spend money at your resort then why not check me in quicker? No one at the reception even noticed that the line had gotten to be over 15 deep on March 29.

Overall very pleasant experience. King suite was very roomy and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Restaurant food and service were great too! Bonfire pits on the beach were a nice plus!

The bar is like something from an island in the south pacific. Amazing view. I met a colleague at the bar. The bartender Giovanni was hilarious. He was very helpful and attentive. We needed to charge our phones and he did it. We had special request due to me being vegan and he was more than helpful. Its hard finding something for my diet and Giovanni made it easy. He was very busy but still had to time to help with anything we needed. I highly recommend Barefoot and Giovanni. PS He is HOT hehe.
