Description: Lucca Back Bay is the sister restaurant of Lucca in the North End. The Kitchen, headed by Andres Cruz, embraces classic Italian cuisine with a contemporary approach. Andres works closely with the finest purveyors and local farmers to ensure that nothing but quality produce enters his kitchen. From house-made pasta and breads, to handcrafted desserts, the cuisine is a thoughtful, well executed, process. Lucca Back Bay offers two dining styles. The elegant main dining room at Lucca Back Bay is the perfect place to relax and enjoy world-class cuisine and exceptional service in a fine dining atmosphere. The cozy and intimate lounge at Lucca Back Bay is a great place to hang out after work, whether that's at 5pm or 1am. We have been told that we have the best burger in town, a staple on our bar menu which is served nightly until 1am. We stay open until 2am every night, with a large industry following, and feature a large collection of house-infused spirits.

Being only a short walk from our Hilton Back Bay Hotel we decided to try the sister to Little Italys original Lucca. The atmosphere is most definitely upscale chic, very pleasant. It was crowded but luckily we had a reservation so got seated quickly. Service was courteous and friendly. We split the red beet salad and for main course the Rigatoni and Pana Cota for dessert. Food was excellent and servings were plentiful. It was a little noisy and a little pricey but again very good. Would most definitely go back. If you drive valet parking is available.

Food, service and overall atmosphere were all great.

Fresh pasta dishes were excellent. I recommend some of the sides including the Beet Salad, Shishito Peppers and Roasted Mushrooms.

Enjoyable evening. Would come back.

lovely Italian food. Helpful waiters and pleasant surroundings. It was a little noisy but the tables are not too close together so you can hear what your companion says.

We came here after a long day at the nearby Hynes convention center. Very convenient to the Sheraton, Marriott, and Hilton. Wish we could have had a round table for easier conversation, but the food made up for it. Good wine list, good food selection, and the meals were all deemed delicious. Service was attentive but not over the top.

There were nine of us, and the restaurant was located near our conference. Although the restaurant noise was lively, we could carry on conversations.

At the server's suggestion I ordered venison- a surprise suggestion in a Boston Italian restaurant, but it was pretty good. Way too much to eat. So I shared one of the chops with friends. Others ate salmon, halibut, shrimp, mussels and pasta. The service was fine. We were able to get separate checks. An 18% gratuity was added to our checks. Venison takes longer to prepare than other dishes
