Made a reservation here before a concert. Will never go back for food or margarita's. Would only go back if need be before a concert for a beer. While it was a decent atmosphere, the service was terrible. The tacos had no flavor and we were served the worst nachos we've ever had. They shouldn't even call them nachos. They were chips on a plate with a few things thrown on top. The appetizer came out after our main course. We were always waiting on drinks. Definitely skip this place.

Atmosphere: Loved it! Great ambiance in there.

Drinks: YUM! I had the Passion Fruit Margarita - highly recommend.

Food: Really disappointing. I got an Octopus taco and a bacon taco. Bacon one was okay, but the octopus taco could have been so much better (if you have seen it on their Instagram page, just know it will look NOTHING like that - even though its $7 for ONE). Very oily - I've had better tacos at dive bars for a lot less money.

Moral of the story - go for the drinks! Don't bother wasting your money on the food.

The atmosphere is fun! The moment you set your eyes on its bright pink doorway, you walk through to a swanky NYC style bar. Small tables around different sections give it an intimate feel. Small sharing plates and taco’s are their speciality. With a larger bar connected through a small hallway, this place is fun for a night on with friends!

We tried... but... Salsa was very sugary and just not good ($3), chips were good. Tuna tartare tostada was very expensive, tasteless, very little tuna, they use pink grapefruit along with raw tuna to hide the fact there is so little tuna. Tacos were only fair and they were tiny. We made up for leaving hungry with a trip for a cannoli in North End. Will not return to Bodega.

We visited on the second night after the opening. What a pleasure to walk into the well designed, dimly lit "Bodega" that resembles an old wine cellar or interior of an old stone building. There are two good sized bars, a number of nooks and crannies to suit your mood and a large "living room" where you can sit comfortably with your significant other or friends.

Judging by the busy second night, this concept should catch on quickly. The neighborhood suffers from all of the sports bars forgetting that locals and even event goers want some variety, Bodega is breaking that mold.

Service was great even as the polite staff were getting up to speed. When it gets to the food and drink, they still need a little work. It would have been a bit nicer if the waiter was not obviously pushing the highest price items on the menu.

We started with relatively small pours of wine and the requisite chips and salsa. I do have to say that they were probably the worst ships and salsa this writer has ever had. The chips were very thick, cold and whatever oil they were cooked in was tasting a bit rancid. The salsa was very bland and whatever flavor it did have was objectionable. Only after we dumped a half bottle of the Bodega sauce in did it become palatable. They really need to throw it all away and start over with this dish.

For entrees we had Crispy Chicken Tacos and the El Jefe Torta. Both were very flavorful and well presented and we would order them again or be comfortable in sampling other menu items. If you are hungry you will need to supplement the dishes with an app or desert.

All in all it was a very pleasant experience in a comfortable and interesting setting, we will be back. We would recommend supporting this new restaurant and are sure they will work out some of the kinks quickly.
