There are two locations to this restaurant: one on Newbury and the other in Brookline on Beacon. Good food but slow service. The Fois Gras terrine hit the spot and so did the risotto. High levels of noise at the Brookline location makes conversations almost impossible.

Intimate French restaurant in a semi basement in Newbury street. Warmly greeted in French and seated in a quite corner of the restaurant. Excellent atmosphere and ambience, helped by the lovely mixture of French and English being spoken by the friendly and attentive staff. Excellent menu and wine list, which featured an extensive range of French wines including many good vintage years. The food was everything you might wish for in a French restaurant.

Decided to try the restaurant due to a friend's recommendation. We sat outside which was ok. The tables are really close to each other and nothing inviting about the patio. Service was ok but the food was great. Wish my beef was a little bit well done but we all enjoyed our meals. Desserts especially chocolate ganache were a hit. Nothing spectacular about the pricey meals, but it's Newbury st, so it's expected. Waiter was a little impatient at the end. Not sure I would go back.

Very good food and service escargot and onion soup were starters and the duck was cooked perfectly. Sat right down even though we were 20 minutes early. Very nice outside seating

Tried recently because I missed my trip to France.
All dishes were beautiful, but the risotto was way too rich. The dessert, strawberry mousse cake was crazy sweet (Any dessert came to US became sweeter??)
The appetizer is like a cold vegetable quiche which is really delicious.
